As a former prosecutor and Texas State Bar President, founder of LM Tatum PLLC, Lisa Tatum brings a career defined by the "art of persuasion" and a relentless pursuit of the truth and justice.
Lisa's Story
Lisa didn't start her legal career planning to become a law firm owner. Like many attorneys, she began in traditional corporate practice, first pursuing criminal justice as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney, followed by private law firm practice representing businesses and individuals in civil litigation cases. But over the years, she noticed something troubling.
Too many clients felt lost in lawyering process or the legal system. They were smart, capable people who lived successful lives, some of whom could run multi-million dollar operations, but when faced with employment issues or contract disputes, they felt confused, unsure, overwhelmed, and, often as though they were fighting alone.
"I realized that clients didn't need another attorney who talked down to them or buried them in legal jargon. They needed someone who would listen, explain things clearly, and fight for their interests with both legal skill and business sense."
That realization led Lisa to found LM Tatum, a law firm built on the principle that legal representation should be both excellent and empathetic. A firm where clients aren't just case numbers, but real people facing real challenges.
Today, Lisa and her team serve clients across industries, from startups to established corporations.
